Wherever you work, here’s our top 5 black styles

Earlier this month we posted our best Autumn/Winter work wear shoes for women. In success of our previous post we have created another one for all the hardworking men!

Selecting our top 5 favourite Autumn/Winter black styles for work, we have highlighted their best features and why we love them!

G-Star Myrow

G-Star Myrow

The Myrow G-star boots are one of a kind with their leather material, rubber sole and thick laces for a sturdy look.  The military style boots are perfect to team up with ankle grazer jeans. We love the clean cut smooth leather front making them wearable with smart trousers too!

Ted Baker Torsdi 4

ted-baker-torsdiThere are many reasons why we love this fabulous British Brand, one of them being their elegant shoes. The grainy leather on the Torsdi is perfect for a casual or smart look. The 2 eyelet lace-up makes it easy for quick fastening. These would look great with a pair of smart jeans and shirt but you can always be more creative.

Chippewa 1901M31

Don’t be put off by their strong aggressive look; these Chippewa boots have an amazing feature. Their Goodyear welt construction allows them to be re-soled which extends the life of the boots. The Wisconsin brand provides high quality shoes for all purposes. They are definitely one for our rainy London. Made with the finest materials these are definitely a Scorpion favourite.

H by Hudson Olave

hudson_olave_blk_5These Hudson brogues are a reflection of gentlemen class. Our favourite feature of the Olave shoe is the traditional pattern around the front and sides. The shoes feature lace-up fastening with a rubber sole. These are flawless and sophisticated smart shoes!

Reebok Workout Plus

For a more casual work look we love these classic-look Reebok trainers. Boasting comfort and a lace-up fastening these trainers are also great for a weekend look with jeans and a t-shirt.

The styles we have chosen are versatile in the way that they can be worn for both work and other commitments. Have a date night? The Ted Baker Torsdi 4 will make you the most handsome man in the room. Need to run errands? The Reebok Workout Plus will boost your performance.

The best characteristic on the styles we have chosen is that you can make use of them in a variety events and occasions.

Game, Set, Match. Wimbledon 2015

It’s Wimbledon time! And as such, our mind are on classic white tennis shoes.
I don’t mean the high tech trainers that Andy Murray and co will be wearing
for the next fortnight, but the traditional plimsoll-styles more akin to our other
great British tennis hero, Fred Perry.

The all white monochromatic look has taken over this season and Wimbledon gives us a great
reason to rock this sports luxe style. This trend has us all loving some clean cut classics like
the Adidas Stan Smiths, Lacoste and Nike.

Here some of our favourite styles:

Nike Air Max Day #AirMaxDay

Screen Shot 2015-03-25 at 10.54.27

On March 26, 1987, the Air Max 1 was introduced,
forever changing footwear in the process. Runners were hooked.
The world was intrigued. And when the marathons ended, the revolution
carried onward.
Twenty eight years later, the legend of Air Max continues to spread,
across borders and through boundaries.

On Thursday, to celebrate the birth of an icon Nike is giving footwear fetishists
something that may well break the internet: the release of the Air Max Zero.
Based on 1980’s sketches of a prototype Air Max by legendary designer
Tinker Hatfield, the Zero is described by Nike as ‘The one before the 1’.

So lace up your favorite pair, wear your Air, and share it with the
world using #airmax.

After designer Federico Mauro came out with his instantly
successful series of Famous Eyewear he published few new series
included one about iconic shoes. It’s amazing how what people wear can become
a representation of who they are. This minimalist
representation of iconic people in history tells it all with so little and is one
example of such ‘trademarks’ is shoes.

20 Of The Weirdest Shoes, Ever

Just found a group of picture from Refinery29
called ’20 Of The Weirdest Shoes, Ever’,
and I may have to agree on a lot of them.

Invisible Shoe—Mirrored plates cover this shoe and reflect
whatever surface you’re walking on. Also great for looking up skirts.

image (1)

Furry Heel Shoe—Is it just us, or do these look oddly inviting?

image (2)

Boxing Glove Shoe—For boxers who prefer to fight with their feet.

image (3)

Heel-less Converse Shoe—What Daphne Guinness might have worn in college.

image (4)

Pokemon Gameboy Platform—For the Pokemon enthusiast
who’s also into breaking their ankles.

image (5)

Elephant Dung Shoe—Not only will people be able to see you
from a mile away, they’ll be able to smell you, too.

image (6)

Finsk Aerodynamic Heel—Defy gravity in these aerodynamic
heels from Finsk.

image (7)

Gun Hoof Shoe—These shoes are supposed to be a message about the paradox
of taxidermy—that in death, an animal achieves immortality.
We say, why not give these a shot?

image (8)

Human Foot Shoe—We can’t even look at these without dying a little
on the inside.

image (9)

Flipper High Heel—Because a lady musn’t sacrifice her style,
even when she’s scuba diving.

image (10)

Translucent Hamster Stripper Boot—We can’t imagine what
horrors would happen if the sole of the shoe ever shattered. 🙁

image (11)

Leopard Stiletto—Cougars—this shoe’s for you!

image (12)

Tusk Heel—We imagine that cavewomen used to sit around the
fire and swap stories about where they got their new tusk-laden mules.

image (13)

Baby Abacus Heel—Are you a pole dancer and need to
bring your baby to work? Have we got a shoe for you!

image (14)

Dildo Shoe—Yep.

image (15)

Mole Slippers—What’s cozier than sitting in front of a fireplace
and slipping your foot into a hollowed-out mole?

image (16)

MP3 Sneaker—A soundsystem you can actually wear.
If this doesn’t get your toes ‘a twinklin’, we don’t know what else will.

image (17)

Platforms For Prostitutes—This shoe has an emergency system
that alerts the authorities as well as sets off an alarm and sends GPS
coordinates to public emergency services or sex workers’ rights groups.

image (18)

Hamburger Nike Sneaker—This is a sneaker that’d go well with a side of fries.

image (19)

Plant Wedge—Shoes you’ll want to wear out in the rain.

Whoever said that you shouldn’t play with food, certainly hadn’t seen Ache Rodriguez‘s art project.
The Gel Lyte V Volcano of Dashape and Asics had a major makeover,
since Rodriguez launched its edible version for #dashapexasicsart.
Using just watermelon, grapefruits, melon, orange, lemon and orange straws for laces,
the fruit Volcano came to life, being a (almost) walking piece of art.

Since its on-court debut in 1997, the Air Foamposite One has turned heads
while steadily evolving into a staple of lifestyle footwear.
The design’s revolutionary one-piece upper marked a dramatic shift
in material choice and aesthetic direction. Early designs of the Foamposite showcased primarily solid
color-blocking though recent renditions have featured stand-out graphic prints.
But the latest design takes it back to the basics – and back to Orlando.

Inspired by the man who first popularized the sneaker, the new Air Foamposite One
is suited in a formal colorway this time around. A black Posite upper has been complimented
with premium white leather and a translucent ice outsole.
Checkerboard detailing is found on the carbon fiber shank for midfoot support and an
additional touch of ‘90s styling.
